HyperFlux™ PRO Plus now available in Europe

Tornado, a Bruker Company Inc., a leading manufacturer of dispersive optical Raman spectrometers is pleased to announce that it has met all the legal requirements for the CE mark to its new HyperFlux™ PRO Plus Raman spectroscopy system, making it now available to customers in the European Economic Area. The full Raman spectroscopy system joins Tornado, a Bruker Company’ stand-alone spectrometers.

Tornado’s proprietary high throughput virtual slit (HTVS™) design technique eliminates spectrometer slit losses while maintaining high spectral resolution, resulting in an order of magnitude improvement in sensitivity. With higher sensitivity than ever before possible, Tornado’s Raman spectroscopy systems provide faster measurement for dynamic reactions and transient features, more accurate chemical identification and quantitation even with challenging mixtures and low concentrations, and low laser power operation in hazardous environments.

“Our Raman spectrometers are state of the art designs which can provide 10x the throughput of other systems by using our optimized HTVS™ technology. The CE mark is a clear recognition of our commitment to quality and reliability, and demonstrates the robustness of our systems”, states Scott Baker, Vice President Engineering & Operations.

CE marking is a significant achievement toward the continued expansion of the PRO Plus in Europe and globally. Combined with the cTUVus certification mark received in March of this year, Tornado is now fully approved in both Europe and North America to manufacture and distribute HyperFlux™ PRO Plus for laboratory and process customers within the petrochemical, polymer, pharmaceutical, and speciality chemical industries to name a few.

“The approval marks a vital regulatory milestone on the road to commercialization and further approval of the HyperFlux™ PRO Plus. The CE mark validates that Tornado has the capabilities to design and manufacture an instrument that meets commercial regulatory requirements for our European customers”, states Andrew Boorn, Chairman & CEO at Tornado, a Bruker Company.
